Author Guidelines

1. Scope & Eligibility

• Scope: SSIJR is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to high-quality research that addresses contemporary global challenges and expands human knowledge. Relevant fields include Law, Political Science, Economics, and Social Sciences.
• Eligibility: Contributions are welcome from students (B.A., LL.B. & LLB), postgraduates (LL.M.), and doctoral scholars (Ph.D.). A maximum of three authors is permitted per research paper.

2. Abstract Instructions

• Content: Every paper must include a structured abstract not exceeding 250 words.
• Keywords: Provide no more than five relevant keywords.
• Author Details: The abstract must be accompanied by the author’s full name, email ID, contact number, institutional affiliation, designation, and official address.

3. Formatting Guidelines

• Typography: Use Times New Roman font. Paragraph text should be size 12, while all headings and subheadings must be Bold 12.
• Layout: Use A4 paper with 1-inch margins on all sides. Alignment must be justified with line spacing set to 1 or 1.5.
• Length & Format: The full paper, including the abstract, must be between 3000 and 6000 words and submitted only in MS Word (.doc/.docx) format.
• Structure: Manuscripts must follow the IMRAD structure: Abstract (including keywords), Introduction, Main Body (Units/Sections), and Conclusion.

4. Footnote Instructions

The journal follows the Indian Law Institute (ILI) set pattern for footnoting.

• Authored Books: Author’s Name, Title of the Book p.no. (Publisher, Place of publication, Year).
• Journal Articles: Name of author, “Title of the article” volume number Name of the journal page number (Year).
• Websites: Provide the full URL and the date the site was accessed (e.g., last visited on July 29, 2023).
• Case Law: Case names should be in italics (e.g., Kesavananda Bharati v. State of Kerala).
• Referencing: Use "Ibid." to refer to the exact same preceding authority and page. Use "Id. at [page]" if the authority is the same but the page differs. Use "Supra" to refer to a prior footnote.

5. Submission Process

• Registration: Authors must Login or Register at https://ssijr.org/ to submit.
• File Requirements: The following must be uploaded as separate files:
1. Title Page.
2. Manuscript (Main text containing Abstract, Introduction, and Conclusion).
3. References.
4. Tables and Figures: Tables must be in a separate file. Figures and images should be submitted as independent files and not pasted into the Word manuscript.

6. Review Process

• Timeline: The first editorial decision is typically made within 7 days.
• Final Decision: A final decision on acceptance is reached within 7–10 days.
• Publication: Once accepted, articles are published online within 10–15 days.

7. Publication Ethics

• Originality: Submissions must not have been previously published or be under consideration elsewhere.
• Plagiarism & AI: The journal maintains a strict plagiarism limit of 0–15% and rejects all AI-generated content.
• Permissions: Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any third-party photos, datasets, or materials.
• Fees: Article submission fees are generally non-refundable, regardless of the editorial decision.
