Abstract

Children, the incredible assets and future development of the Country. The term Juvenile means youthful, immature, childish and a person who breaks the law. The Psychological and sociological aspects are to be considered and there is always a want of dealing with crime in a lawful society. Children mental, physical, and moral growth of the children and their safe and protected environment has to be entrusted in the society for the well-being of the country. In such circumstances, judiciary playing a crucial role in dealing the juvenile cases and its application of law in disposal of cases arising under different circumstances in the society that can only be controlled, monitored, and guided by the Judiciary. The effective implementation of law in dealing with the juveniles and their rehabilitation and reformations though different methods and its necessary timely guidelines shows the positive efforts by the judiciary. For prompt monitoring of the same, judiciary is the appropriate platform to attain juvenile justice. There are various frameworks and amendments made by the judiciary, also by establishing exclusive Juvenile Justice Boards (JJB) Courts to deal with Juvenile delinquency. In the present paper the author made efforts to explain the role of judiciary in Juvenile Justice in India.
